Coastal Toetoe which is one of New Zealand’s native grasses, is an iconic image on kiwi beaches, waving in the wind like flags. It can be found throughout our landscape but especially along the coast where it helps with sand dune erosion. It has had many uses including being used medicinally, providing shelter for native species such as skinks and it is a source of food for our native birds. This bowl by Jo Luping Design  is made from porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside. It comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid.
